My first week in Atlanta

Well, it's been a crazy week for my mommy, daddy, and me. After saying goodbye to all of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in Illinois, we spent all day Saturday and Sunday driving in mommy and daddy's cars to our new house in Georgia. On Monday, the movers arrived with the great big truck and unloaded all of our things into the house. There are still lots of boxes all over the house, but mommy and daddy have unpacked a few of the rooms in our new house, like the living room, the family room, the kitchen, and most important--my bedroom! I will ask them to take some pictures of the new house so that they can post them here soon. I think my room is really neat because I have a big tree painted on the wall and a big airplane painted on the ceiling!

But now that I am getting settled in the new house, my thoughts are turning to more important things: Christmas and Santa Claus. On Thursday, mommy and daddy took me to see Santa Claus at a shopping mall near our house. It was exciting to meet him, though I was a little shy. Then guess what: this morning, he stopped by for a visit at our neighborhood clubhouse! So I put on my nice Christmas dress....

And I got to sit on his lap (and introduce him to Ducky, my best friend as of this week--he goes with me everywhere)....
And talk with him to tell him what I want for Christmas! It was so much fun. I even gave Santa a hug.
Afterwards I got to meet some of the kids in my new neighborhood, and I did some fun crafts and activities, like playing with foam stickers shaped like Christmas things.

I can't wait until Christmas!
