The Kindergarten Thanksgiving Program

Hi, everybody--

Guess what! All of the kindergarten classes at my school put on a BIG Thanksgiving show for our families the week before Thanksgiving! Each of us got to dress up like something related to Thanksgiving. Some of us were pilgrims, some of us were turkeys, some of us were Native Americans...I was dressed like POPCORN! Here I am in my costume (above and below):

Although this picture is blurry, you can see me in action during the performance. I did a great job and I was the ONLY kindergartener to give very BIG bows during the applause after every number! (although I am not sure if I was supposed to do this or not....)




One thing we did for Thanksgiving is we had to disguise a picture of a turkey so he wouldn't be caught for Thanksgiving dinner. I dressed mine up as a sheep (on the far right). Some of my classmates dressed up their turkeys as Santa, a peacock, or a butterfly.

MY BABY SISTER IS HERE!

Hi, everyone!

Guess what! I'M A BIG SISTER! My baby sister, Emma Claire, arrived on Sunday, November 7, at 1:18 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was just a little bit bigger than me when I was born (I weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz and I was 19 1/2 inches long). But I'm -still- the big sister!

Things are very busy these days with Emma, so it is not always easy to post new photos on the blog. But my mommy and daddy will try! Here are a few photos from the past few weeks.

A few days later, mommy and Emma came home. And a few days after that, we decided to let Emma have a test run in the play yard. She liked it!

Shh! Emma's sleeping!! She sure does sleep a lot! Either that, or she's eating...or crying!:

I am a helpful big sister. One thing I love to help with is diaper changes. It's my job to give mommy or daddy a clean diaper for Emma. Here I am helping with this chore, wearing my Sushi Superhero costume (it's actually just a sushi bib):

(Oh, guess what--this weekend we put up Christmas decorations! I am wearing our Santa hat here...while Emma is very important in our household these days, so is Christmas!):

Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving week was busy for mommy, daddy, and me. The Sunday before Thanksgiving, mommy and daddy took me to see Disney Playhouse Live. It was exciting to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, the Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, Pooh, and Tigger in REAL LIFE! I had so much fun.
We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. Here's daddy carving the turkey with an electric knife. I wasn't too sure about the electric knife--it's kind of noisy.
I got to play with my cousins Michael and Samarah.
The next day, daddy and I broke the turkey's wishbone. I won!
But Thanksgiving's over and things are pretty crazy around here with our upcoming move to Georgia. Mommy and daddy seem to be constantly cleaning our house, and many of my things are now in boxes. Mommy told me that next week, the movers will come and pack up all of our things, put them in a big truck, and drive everything to the new house. I am very excited that mommy and daddy bought me a new house and I am especially excited about getting a new bedroom! I will make sure that mommy and daddy post photos of the new house once we get there. I will be very sad being away from my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins this Christmas, but it will be fun to celebrate Christmas in a brand new house!
