(From Madeleine's mom):
Madeleine is turning into quite the artist these days, and we wanted to share a few of her art works. Granted, every parent thinks their child creates some amazing pictures...I suppose we are no different. This is only a sampler; we have many, many drawings by Madeleine.
The top drawing is of a house. Currently Madeleine is going through a House Phase and draws lots of houses. As you can see, it's complete with many different-colored windows, a chimney, a green door, and not one, but two American flags. You can also see a tree and a violet (she was very specific about the flower), and what I believe might be a sidewalk with someone walking on it.
Below is a common theme for little girls: a rainbow:
Next we have an Easter egg bird (yes, this is what she said it was):
This next one was drawn several months ago and is one of my faves (so much so that it's a permanent fixture on the fridge, as evidenced by the church key magnet). She drew it at school one week when they were discussing Spring, and the caption reads "My favorite springtime activity is to pick flowers." The face makes me smile every time.
About a month ago, she decided it needed "improving" with a Tinker Bell sticker. Sigh....
Another school art piece, this one of the ocean and sea life. Everything was carefully labeled by her teacher:
And here is the artist (post-bath) hard at work on her latest creation!:
I'm sure more of Madeleine's art will be seen on this blog in the future!
