That's right...more tummy time. In order to reduce the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) babies should always sleep on their backs. Because of this change in sleeping position, babies have to be given "tummy time" in order to strengthen their necks and keep from developing flat-spots on the back of their head.
We can usually keep Madeleine on her tummy for 3 - 5 minutes at a time, and only 1 - 2 minutes if she's cranky. Any more than that she gets frustrated and vocally complains.

We were able to capture this picture at the beginning of tummy time while she's still happy with it.
Last weekend we went to a going-away party for one of the expats here in Geneva. We took Madeleine (of course). While she slept for most of it, she had a couple hours of awake time where she was passed around from person to person.

After spending a some time with each of the ladies, Madeleine needed the comfy arms of her mommy.
