Medieval Autumn

Yesterday, we took Madeleine on a trip to the French village called Perouges. It was a beautiful fall day with the occasional light rain. We strolled through the village, visited the Gothic Church, and stopped at a nearby cafe for a Vin Chaude (Hot Spiced Wine).

Although the cobblestones in the village were not the easiest to navigate with a stroller (even with our 4x4 heavy duty stroller), we managed. Eventually we gave in and simply carried Madeleine. In the future we'll have to remember to bring the baby carrier.

At the end of it, we think the new sights and sounds were interesting for Madeleine. The day ended with a melt-down, which seemed to be timed perfectly with the rain. But after putting her back into the stroller and covering it with the rain cover, the bumpy cobblestone ride put her back to sleep.
