Today is the day!!!

It's here! Today is the day we will be going to Grangette at 8pm tonight. They will be inducing labor (unless Megan starts naturally on her own). We're both a bit nervous, but more so Megan--rightfully so.

It should be a long night. I get home from work about 5pm, we'll both get showered, have dinner, then head to the hospital (Grangette). Until the baby comes I'll be there, but if the baby is too late (ie. 4am or later), I'll come home afterwards to sleep. Otherwise I'll stay in the hospital with Megan throughout Friday.

Our next big job will be picking out a name. We have a shortlist of about 3 -5 names, but we don't plan to decided until after the baby arrives. Megan will then stay at Grangette for 4 - 5 days (depending) and then will be released to come home. From the day she arrives, I'll take several days off work for Paternity leave.

During one of those days, Megan and I will have to travel to the US Embassy in Bern in order to get an official US Birth Certificate, Social Security Number, and Passport for the baby. Interestingly enough, the baby has technically already travelled to Portugal, France, Switzerland, USA, and Greece while Megan was pregnant, but they don't require a passport for that.

Once our baby girl has arrived, I plan to put both info, videos, and photos on this page, so stay tuned for more!
