Today is August 3rd (two days past the original due date) and no baby yet. Of course, as everyone keeps telling us, the baby will come when the baby is ready? What?!?!? The baby is not ready to meet her new parents yet?
At least the weather here in Geneva has significantly cooled. It's been an oven here the past weeks and today's high temperature of 66-F is a welcome break from the summer heat.
We're still spending most of our time fending off people calling, emailing, coming to the house, and stopping by my work desk all asking where is the baby. I guess this is to be expected...in fact, it's funny because all the books I read on pregnancy claimed this would happen.
I've been spending my time playing my favorite computer game World of Warcraft, doing last minute chores Megan suddenly comes up with, emptying the A/C Water Bucket, and working on the Pre-Baby Video Year book. Megan has been doing last minute bottle sterilization, watching the Baby Channel on Sky Network, re-reading pregnancy books, and trying to get a decent night's sleep without going to the toilet every 2 minutes.
Are we ready? Yes, I think we're ready. Megan is packed for the hospital, but I have not packed yet. Even though I won't be staying overnight at the hospital, Labor can take a long time so they recommend that the husband bring along a change of clothing and a book or something to keep busy if/while the wife sleeps.
We'll keep you posted on any news!!! Stay tuned!
